Black Mountains College is a unique college based in the Welsh countryside. Our focus is on the challenge of our times: how to build a fair and just society within safe planetary boundaries.
Our approach is built on rethinking traditional learning to foster the skills, creativity, and systems thinking needed for a more sustainable future. Our farm campus is a living classroom, with access to biodiverse landscapes that inspire and challenge students to connect deeply with nature.
As a community committed to regenerative practices and learning how to live and work sustainably, we focus on real-world projects, blending traditional crafts with cutting-edge environmental practices to build more resilient systems that benefit both people and the planet.
Black Mountains College offers a diverse range of short courses, further education NVQs, and a single degree programme. Further education courses are designed to equip students with in-demand, practical skills in fields like regenerative horticulture, coppicing & greenwood working, nature recovery & conservation, or agroecology.
